I would say something like "Mostly it is personal reflection. I used to try to come up with ways to explain it with big words but lately I would rather hear what others think. I think a lot about loss, hope, isolation, freedom from oppression, the destruction of natural resources, myth, magic, the pursuit of happiness. Oh, I don't know" - I'm just testing the water of this crazy world and trying to do what I feel.

If I am excited about a new piece it can keep me up until 3 or 4 am. I always work at night. Stuff I have been listening to lately: Pixies, Battles, Nirvana, Radiohead, The Mall, Kanye West, Chariot, Deerhunter, Punch, Mars Volta, Com Truise, Real Estate.
I work at Double Punch Gallery in San Francisco and the Oakland Museum of CA in Oakland.
I draw thumbnails on whatever I can find when I think of something that I want to make. This has resulted in countless pieces of receipt tape and post it notes with ideas on them in my wallet / pockets pretty much at all times. When I get into my studio I take it all out and look them over - go from there.

Travel>Invest>Pay Off Student Loans>Find a quiet piece of land someplace and spend the rest of my life in peace.
Ride a bike around. Check out some thrift stores in a small town. Mini golf! Head to the city. End up at the same place as the girl you always think about. Alternatively, hermit mode art making is okay too.
I spend equal time between the suburbs and the city and I really do feel lucky to have the best of both worlds. I like how San Francisco takes on a hometown feel as you meet people and realize that the city is quite small especially on a social level. I also enjoy my time in the suburbs and the quiet contemplation that it brings.
I will rant about something I discovered on my random wikipedia research that happens almost nightly; First off, I am really into "Dinosaurs Attack!" Trading Cards (Google image search them)-- Did you know that Tim Burton was planning on making a Dinosaurs Attack movie, but dismissed it when Jurassic Park was released? Instead he made Mars Attacks! CRAZY!
