yeah, dude three months ago a muni cop was telling me I couldn't take pics of a derailed car at church and dubose, from across the street,,,
an i was like bull shit lady arrest me, she didn't..and covered her face with a ticket book as I snapped photos...don't ever let a cop tell you, you can't take photos,

two words: Oscar Grant!!!!!!

The reason you can't take photos of whom and what ever you want anymore, is because the US, weather you like it or not, is becoming a police state resembling WW2 Germany. A ABC news team was recently arrested for filming a car accident in Texas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYDw1Za8F-I Welcome to the USSA.

there are plenty of court cases saying that as long as you are on pubic property you can take photos of anything you want. there can be some issues with "public private" where its open to the public but privately owned, but i dont think muni is privately owned as its "municipal."
post 9/11 people are just getting strict but legally you can shoot.

just got a response from Muni. you can read it here: http://bit.ly/lSIDg

thanks, all, for your comments and support. happy shooting!!
