FECAL FACE DOT COM Celebrates Their 7.5 Year Anniversary





Fecal Face in collaboration with 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco will be hosting it’s annual art show gala with over 35 notable emerging artists, bands and DJs. This year’s celebration honors their 7.5 year anniversary with not only artwork from Bay Area artists but from across the US and beyond as well. The event will kick-off with an opening party and end with a closing reception scheduled for Aug 2, 2007 and Aug 31st, 2007 respectively. Attendees will be treated to live performances from The Dodos ( http://www.myspace.com/mericlong ) and other bands TBA, in addition to local DJs providing music well into the night.

Last year's party, “125 Years of the Internet”, was a huge success with a record 2000 in attendance, including a three week showing at the BLK/MRKT Gallery in heart of the arts district in Los Angeles.

2 weeks leading up to the event, FECAL FACE DOT COM will post mini-interviews of all the artists on the website- 2 or 3 per day.

Fecal Face began in 1998 as a bi-monthly art zine produced at Kinko's and developed into a website in 2000. FECAL FACE DOT COM covers and supports the emerging arts with interviews, online arts calendars (SF, NYC, and LA), user galleries where visitors can post their own art, hourly updated news, a forum board with over 2,000 members, gallery listings, a photo of the day section and blogs by popular artists and personalities. The website hosts 11,000 visitors from around the world each day and continues to be developed every day with php, html, mysql, Javascript, a hand built content management system, a canon SD800, a scanner, Photoshop, and a lot of love.
