Hey all.. i'm new to the boards. My name is Lauren Utter...i never thought to post on here, i've been a frequenter for a while now and i figured it was about damn time i post something. Enjoy !! feedback would be great but keep things civil.! Here's some recent work.

I like these because they aren't drawn how the subject matter is begging to be drawn. The social images are dying to be hipster-line, flat color drawings, but you went and made them so much better by doing otherwise. The ones with more texture are your better ones, I'd say. The ones with less texture run a close call to seeming less considered. Nice work, though. It's hard to make party pictures look different from every other party pictures, and the same goes for art drawn from them (something to think about/be careful of). Here you've succeeded though.

thank you, yeah i agree about the copping out with solid dayglo colors... i dunno i like textures. and i think the subject matter look more..... i dunno crusty? or faded by the sun as i imagie hobo punks would. hahah neon colors wouldnt work so well... i like the pink it's kinda ironic i think
