A new father, an old Fecal Pal, and a photographer from Pinole Ca.
We get a lot of great emails from a lot of talented people introducing us to their work. From time to time we'll be sharing their work here in our mini interviews segment... To be considered for a mini interview send a few jpegs to: mini(at)fecalface.com Make sure the images are at least 600 pixels in width.

Tell us a little bit about your work.
I take photos of things I find interesting, as all photographers do. Sometimes it can be a hunt for the right shot, other times it's almost like it falls into your lap. Then there are days you realize that you know nothing at all. Those are most days for me. I print most of my stuff (big thanks to Ray at the Photo Epicenter except for the color. It's fun getting secluded in a tiny world of black, white and red.
How's your little girl doing? What's it like being a father? How has it affected your work?
She is awesome. Cliche' to say but she really is. I got laid off my day job at the law firm in early Dec. so I've been home with her more and she is always happy. Even with the teething and the usual pangs of being a very small and new human she's always smiling and being a goof. The only times she cries is when it's a real thing; wet, hungry, tired or in some form of discomfort. She ain't no cry baby. I dig being a dad. It's a real shock to the ego and system in general when you walk into a room and your kid gets excited and says, "dadadadadadadadad."
I learned how to drive in early '08 because she was coming, so a whole new realm of possibilities has opened. The realization that I'm the provider for another person is a freaky bit of info that goes 'round and 'round in my head everyday. It has made me focus more on my photography and writing and inspired me to be more productive. I have a tendency to procrastinate and with her (as in life sometimes) she can't wait if she needs a diaper change. Shit is happening now and you better handle it.
