Jeremy Fish has a new solo show opening up here in San Francisco this Thursday @Fifty24SF titled "Ghosts of the Barbary Coast". We stopped through his studio last week for a look and came back with some video and photos below.
Life sized bear anyone... Fish said that if it doesn't sell at the show, he may donate it to a great drinking establishment here in the city.
The show shines a light on San Francisco's debauturous past and what makes this city so fascincating... From the Gold Rush to the Dot Com Boom, there's a lot of weird and interesting history here in San Francisco...
Emperor Norton claimed he was emperor of the United States... He was a bit nuts but he claimed that SF should build a bridge and tunnel across the Bay which 100 years later became the Bay Bridge and BART.
Where the paintings get their start.
He's got a great large studio in the back of a full apartment somewhere in North Beach.
Dr. Suess
A Dave Choe book
There's to be a pretty bitchin' after party @The Peacock Lounge there on Haight... Should be a blast... Could be a bit more fun for me if I was off the wagon.
Fish vibrator anyone?
Fish has a severe affinity for The Big Lebowski.
He made some toot bags for the library his mom works at back East.
A man and his bear.
The tiny version of her.
Who's that guy in the sailor cap?
Why... it's me!
Ghosts of the Barbary Coast Opening Dec 4th, 2008
