Kyle Ranson and I headed over to Monica Canilao's studio in Oakland to finish up the book that we're making for our London show @ 96 Gillespie. Kyle's arms are full of future book pages.
Made a quick pit stop at N+P to grab Monica's classy sewing bag. Ahoy! Oakland dead ahead!

We first set up all the pages of the book in order and then began the assembly line.

Kyle and I collated pages, Monica sewed the binding. When the human conveyor belt ended, the book looked like this. (I spray painted and gocco printed over 200 of these mothers the day before. Complete insanity. )

The factory whistle blew and it was time for an egg-salad break. The eggs came from the chickens in Monica's back yard. I must say, they do taste so much better than store bought eggs.

At 4am, we completely lost our minds, but somehow ended up with a box full of books.
....Despite having worked for 14 dreaded hours on them, we're quite proud of our creation. Viola, le art book! Oui oui pee pee!
Friends, life is kind of insane. How do you feel about it? Hopefully, you're out there biting off way more than you can chew, ...and somehow, managing to gulp it down regardless. Personally, I've got a mouthful of it right now and I'm chewing away. But that's alright, you've got to get out there and get your hands dirty a little bit or else what's the point, right?
We leave for London in couple days. Please come to our show, we've been working really hard on it. I'll be the stressed out guy in the corner guzzling beers, come on over and say "hi."
