I like to meet people…especially people who can help me sell art. To help facilitate a relationship with these type of folks I create zines and drop them in locations I think artsy kids/curators might pick them up. Hence the reason FreddiC and Derek from the Lab101 in Culver City (LA) found a new copy of my zine in their mail slot.........2 weeks later they invited me on a last minute mission to Vancouver to show and paint live at the 2nd annual Brave Art exhibition in Whistler BC (that's Canada for all you geographically challenged).

FreddiC is the woman behind Lab101 and has a shit hot collection of art at her and her husband Evan's pad. She also smokes long cigaretts, and sucks her thumb in her sleep (she claims).

This is a composite of my first few hours off the plane in Vancouver in route to Whistler....rain, salmon, big rigs and bear proof trash cans...eh

Brave Art is the brain child of Cec Annett…the dude on the far right....who lives in San Diego and surfs too….we had plenty to talk about. He put this entire thing together in one month last year and ended up with a line up of street art godfathers a professional curator would drool over...a testament to this mans imagination and ability. This years Brave Art was the second incarnation and showed little sign of slowing down…Ricky Powell, Kinsey, Shep, Mr Jago and Dose Green to name just a few.
