All the bad things you did when you were a kid, on paper.
Most of my work is based off of real experiences... so, I would say I gain the most influence from being with my friends and the trouble we get into.
Mcdoubles, at least 3. I'm broke.

I really love it when I get to the studio around 9 in the morning. I feel really fresh at that point, the paint is smoother, and the brush stays in my hand. Unfortunately, I normally get there just after 9pm... loaded full of coffee and clinging on to my brushes for dear life. I have been looking back into my collection lately... Dead Kennedys, The Knife, and The Silver Jews.
I screen print and huff real bad fumes all day.

A situation will stand out in my mind. I will take elements from that story, add a bunch of personal iconography, then slosh everything on some paper.
Real fine liners, and itty bitty brushes, Liquitex paint, and Rives paper.

I'm really excited to get my own place and quit crashing on couches.
I would be dead in a week.

A day off is normally spent painting. If not, I'm jetsettin' to visit friends in Philly or Baltimore.
My family is here and they are important to me.
Flat bike tires in far away places, quarters that don't work in vending machines, cars that burn more oil than gas, and getting super absorbed into reality tv.

I have a solo show up at the John Fonda Gallery (The Theater Project) right now, that's in Baltimore. In December be sure to check out Nudashank for the "Heady Mugs" group show. Cruising into January I will have a few paintings in a show called "Pennsyltucky" at Clarion University. I am really looking forward to the 2 person show I have with John Garret Slaby at Nudashank in May of 2010. {moscomment}
