Millard and Sieben are in town, Mission Yacht Club for the 4th, Nature, and Mr. Dave Potes is off to NYC.
Since me and the lady got a sailboat, we thought it would be awesome to get some food together and meet the Mission Yacht Club out at Angel Island for the Fourth and watch the fireworks from the middle of the bay while others stay land locked in WWIII of the Mission/ Dolores Park.

The park ranger said it would be best to get there ASAP since it's a holiday, plus, it's first come first served... So even though we knew it wasn't going to be fun, we passed through the slot (windiest part of the SF Bay) at the worst time- right in the middle of the afternoon.

Everything was good and then we went through the strongest wind we've ever been through. Neither of us said a word as our rigging started making some funky ass noises we've never heard before. It must have been something like 25-27 knots. Not too much fun, but then again since it was the strongest wind we've been in, we were nervous... but now we know that our shit's safe in 20 knots, no problems!

But once there, and through a couple beers to calm the nervous, all was good and we hiked around the island.

We found an old shaft down to a NIKE missle base.

Almost stepped on some little dudes warming themselves in the last rays of the sun.

It was silly hot on the 4th.

Some of the Mission Yacht Club showed up.

After the fireworks and the beers were all but cashed, some had to sail home... that took some till 3am. Jessica and I said fuck that, and slept off our hangover to sail home the next day.

Sailing home across the bay at like 12am with a shit load of wind.

We got some huge spiders in our backyard.

They're very big and not fun to walk into.

What do you know?! We saw The Dodos again and... again they were amazing! They'll be playing at our big show at 111 Minna on August 2nd!

and had a closer beer in the park.

Said good by to Dave Potes who's NYC bound.

I'm going to miss him.

So's Wolfe.

Chris

lookin' good.

We drank too much and had to spend some time with nature.

Jesse and I have started playing tennis in the afternoons... moving is good.

Fish is working on his mural at Milk as Rick noted in his blog.

Since when did people start doing Yoga out in the street?! Pretty... retarded.

Check out our very small pet seagull.

Went to that Volcom Free Beer show. I got there too late and all that was left were people who done enjoyed the free beer.

Matt Furie was there though and he scares me more and more every time I see him... In a good way, of course.

The surfer on the left is Andy. Andy's cool. The guy on the right wasn't. No idea but I got heckled by some surfer brah. Genius.

Jason Mann was manning the door of the Hemlock... fuck, it sucks down there on Polk on weekends. It's like the new Marina or something. fucking gross people everywhere. Not good.

I got in a photo with Fish and Travis Millard, but it just didn't look right.

So I replaced myself with a homeless guy walking down the street. Looks better, right?!

Street Art

swimming where you're not meant to is fun.

Went and saw some Brazillian OS MUTANTES.

and saw where my girlfriend was raised.

and since drunk we had a fire on the beach

Sieben was in town and we spent a day together drinking and whatnot. Here Michael gets a new wallet and some zines from Needles and Pens.

Poo got pissed

Invited Jay Howell and Sieben over for some Pork Chops, but jay don't eat the meat, so he just had some salad, potatoes, and greens. he's a good kid.

Down to the UPTown for more of that sweet sweet beer juice.
