And our "coverage" of the event = stumble around and take photos with beer in hand. Got some press passes for the Treasure Island Music Festival. For weeks we looked forward to covering it. Our boat is kept right on the island... We can sail, drink, and crash on the boat never have to worry about driving or where to eat... We basically got drunk on beer and were excited to see what and where our press credentials could take us.

We were both hardly aware of the music.

Nothing to do with the Treasure Island Music Festival, but finally got to meet another internet friend. Philly based Alex Lukas stopped through Fecal Face.

The festival started on Saturday, so after work Friday we took our boat over the Oakland for the night... Our boat is kept there at Treasure Island. It's a pretty short trip.

Love going past all the ships loading and uploading... they're massive.

A nice ride with a bottle of wine.

We made it.

Before heading back in the morning walked about Jack London Square to find Half of Jack London's Alaskan shack.

And this great ol' timey bar... They used to serve 5 cent beers and 10 cent whiskies to people going over the bridge to the dry town of Alameda... which explains the name of the place.

Out the estuary and back to TI for the festival.

OMG, there are people at the marina... and they're young. Others boated to the island for the festival...

and the mandatory... doesn't it suck that you're jammed up on that wall and I have tons of leg room and can come and go as I please including to get a drink and/ or to the restroom and maybe even grab a quick slice of pizza or something while you're still there with your cramped legs and stuff?... I'm so cool.

fuck it, we'll ride the... $5?! Never mind.

We're drunk. Off to the boat for bed... Prefer seeing bands in small venues overall, but thanks to the kind folks at the Treasure Island Music Fest who let us run around drunk for 2 days... Gotta practice my rock shot angles. {moscomment}
