Passion makes the world go round. Love just makes it a safer place.
Randomness from this past week in no particular order or reason.

We were in LA for some studio visits. We stopped through The Clayton Brother's studio which we'll be adding to the site in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned.

Also stopped through Souther Salazar and Megan Whitemarsh's work space.

Also swung through Kill Pixie's space... All coming in the next couple weeks complete with video.

Last night in LA we had some drinks with my old friend Eric Wollam and his wonderful new wife, Suzanne

Eric's the art director for Almost Skateboards and we used to skate together like a million years ago back in Ohio. Wollam can do some mean b/s 360s... Learn about THE WOLF

Gettin' my LA on.

Some how ended up on the smoking floor.

We were going to stop through Bergamont Station and Culver City on our way out, but instead opted for a quick stop at the Tar Pits and to get out of town before the traffic got out of hand.

They find bones in that there tar.

Nathan Cordero gave me and me wife a present. Thanks, Nathan!

You know how they send promotional shitty pens- like, get your business name on these shitty pens...

We have the biggest turds in 'shit bum alley' next to the gallery. Other galleries take note.

Thanks for the wine, Jimmy.

Winter time is for cooking food at home.

Pork chops stuffed with mushrooms and blue cheese... It's a Luna Park dish, but since we can't afford to eat there these days, we make it at home for a quarter of the price.

I'm getting pretty good at it.

Not so good at that.

Organzing some work. Love this Albert Reyes

And this Mat O'Brien

Then some party time for Rune's 1st BDay, but the little dude was out when we got there pretty much. Guess we'll party it up in his honor.

Fine. I don't care if you face the other way.

I have a new appreciation for heat lamps.

Matt's out

Late night dinner

The next day there was wind on the Bay, but we were a bit hungover.

The view when you're taking a piss.

There hasn't been any wind all winter. A nice change.

The sunset came from the East. How strange.

Fish just came through to discuss his show which opens Feb 26th @FFDG. It's going to be great. A really nice mural and print project.

And then Kyle Ranson just stopped in while I was working on the blog here.

To check out Paul Urich's show.

And to drop off a notice of his show which opens Saturday @Receiver.

Why, hello, Kyle.

May I interest you in a Jay Howell print?
