Giant is in Japan doing some tattoos. This is his first day/ night there.

Greeting from the land of tiny cars...

weird pizza... and cobra juice... I started this adventure on Wednesday. I left my house at 5am, flew to Dallas, then a straight 14 hour shot to Osaka. The flight fucked me up, as expected. I just don't fit in coach seats. My knees hurt really bad, but some Naproxen and Jack Daniels helped, a little. I got in around 4pm on Thursday and was picked up at Osaka airport by my friend Masa, his wife Kayo, and Ussun. I was in a super jetlag haze upon arrival, and didn't last long. I was crashed out in my temporary bedroom by 10pm that night, and didn't get up until 10am on Friday. It's Saturday night now, and I'm still feeling off. My body is hurting, but I'm having a great time. I came out here to make some tattoos, promote Rebel8, and have fun. The first tattoo I made in Japan was this cute little Day of the Dead skull... Once that was finished, I went for a walk with my buddy Masa to check out some stores that carry Rebel8. We stopped by a store called Tomahawk that had some old pieces of mine hanging... I was psyched to see a Rebel8 sticker on this bike near Tomahawk... I thought the graphics on this supermarket were pretty fresh too... Then back at the tattoo shop, I hooked this chest piece... Last night we went to the local late night eatery where I ate this... And this is Masa and I post-octopus... Today I got to the shop around 11am, and hooked up this script on a guy's chest... And then my homie Hevi took me to a Keirin race. We took the subway to the track... On the way we spotted this ill train that goes to the airport... We got to the track in time to see the last race of the day. Here's some graphics pointing the way to the stadium... And here's a dorky shot of me outside the track... I'd never been to a track race, so you know I was PSYCHED! Here's some racing shots... Once the racing was done and everybody cleared out, the cleaning crew rolled in to pick up all the betting forms littering the whole stadium... After the races, we went back to the shop so I could tattoo "Punk Rock" on a guy's hands. I forgot to get a flic of that one. Oops. Here's Kayo and Hevi chillin' at the shop while I tattoo'd homie's hands... Then I hopped in a cab with a few guys from the shop... to go see Balzac, a popular punk band from Osaka... After the show we went backstage to meet the band. They were mad cool, and they were covered in some of the nicest tattoos I've ever seen. They sounded like The Misfits, kinda. On the way back to the shop, I got to try out some of my homie's bikes. Mutsuo got the flics... It was great to roll around a bit. Seems like everybody has a bike here, and they all ride on the sidewalk. And somehow nobody gets run over. I'm definately bringing a track bike with me next time. And anybody that knows me well knows that girls on bikes drive me nuts, and I've seen so many hotties on cool bikes that I'm already starting to get a little numb to it. I'll get some flics tomorrow so you can see what I'm talking about...
