We arrived at the Escapist skate shop in Kansas City, MO pretty late the night before, but PNUT and I decided to stay up till about 3 am to do some laundry. In the end we slept about 4 hours and then woke up to meet the guys at the shop. Andrew Pommier looks around out front of the shop.

We parked our Volcom van in the back and headed inside to say hi, check out the space, and start installing for the opening later that evening!

According one of the owners Nick, the shop was previously this really cool motorcycle repair type of garage place. It was probably one of the biggest and nicest skateshops I've ever seen. Two giant rooms, one where a wall of boards stare at you and the other room for parties, pool, and art installations.

We had plenty of room to hang our pieces and some of the guys and PNUT thought a mural would be cool.

Usually what happens when we unpack is we all stand around oohing and awhhing on the works. Here we are all scrambling to grab our Todd Bratrud prints. I got my Werd Life lady holding a KFC bucket print.

The guys at the shop had some artist boards that were done by some of the guys in the show like PNUT, Mark Fos Foster, and Todd Bratrud.

PNUT gets going on his mural while the rest of us start installing the works.
Some of us drank Stag out of a Kum & Go coosie.
PNUT's finished piece for the guys at Escapist!
Let the great installation begin. We actually got pretty good at packing and unpacking the pieces for the show. I think we did it with a few minutes to spare before the opening.
Some of us still were making pieces for the show. Here's Phil making his awesome piece next to some PBR cardboard.
Andrew triumphantly celebrates finishing the Bratrud print wall.
Michael Sieben stopped by to install his works and help us out. One of my highlights was getting to meet Michael. He's super awesome just like his art. Here he is with Isaac McKay-Randozzi.

The great wall of PNUT.
Like I said we barely finished when the show opened. Oh well, no showers or changing for you sweating dudes.
Some dudes rolled in on a board. - goes with OWOA_43.jpg
Brett Millard stacking his beers early. I like your style.
Brett Millard, Travis's brother, and his lady was super nice and told us to have a fried egg ontop of our Town Topic cheeseburger. They were right. . . that place was gooooddd.
Andrew Pommier calls the pocket.
Kansas City native and local skater Tom talks it up with Sieben and PNut.
Sieben fan who had an awesome tattoo on his leg shows it to Michael.
One leg with a tattoo by Sieben and one leg without. Haha
We were sort of tired that evening since we arrived so late the night before. Andrew uses Phil as a human pillow.
This is why PNUT and I did laundry at 3 am. Dirty back Phil T.
PNUT grabbed the essentials - chips and Jimmy.

PNUT and chica.
At some point of the night, PNUT decides to pick me up. I repeat this is not a reach-around. Do not try at home or with friends.
Taa dddaaa. . . another successful night of art, drinking and weirdness. Next stop No Comply and Austin Texas!!!!
