Written by Ashley Taylor

It's your late New Year's celebration. We asked you to draw your resolutions, and here they are.

#1 - Mildred (San Francisco, CA)

--> See the rest of the entries.

This Week's Theme: Your "Late" New Year's Resolution

Last Week's Winner: was Robin Kimmerling for this Tis the Season themed drawing and wins himself nothing as we're in need of mailing out prizes and are far enough behind.

*NEW RULES: No Anonymous Comments - When voting you must login through the comment system using your Facebook or Twitter for your vote to count. This is because we were getting too many multiple votes from people using multiple names. *Remember that the words "Fecal Face" need to placed in the work but not Photoshopped in or anything. This ensures that the work submitted is in fact yours. ALSO remember that you can only vote for one drawing. We only count one vote per person, so make sure to only vote once.

Fecal Face will choose the winnner after taking your votes and comments into account.

Next Week's Theme: Hot Damn

Next Week's Prize: Not quite sure yet. Will announce it later in the week.

This Week's Prize: Nothing this week as we're behind in mailing out Free Fridayz prizes. We're going to get caught up and resume prizes next week.

Submission Guidelines for next week:
We had some great entries this week that we couldn't run, either because they weren't sized right or had nothing to do with theme. Just to be clear, when the next theme comes out the old theme is officially over. Please don't send in more submissions for old themes. It makes up feel bad when you send us stuff and we can't post it up so please read the guidlines below:

- This is a drawing/ illustration fun contest. Photography generally not accepted.
- The size formatting is 700 pixels in width OR length - if they are bigger than this they will not be posted. So if you have a long skinny one, please make sure it is not over 700 in length or we will not be able to see it well.
- Name your submission your first and last name. Example: john_doe.jpg
- Include the words "Fecal Face" somewhere in the art so we know you created it (please do not to add it in later with Photoshop).
- One submission per person by Friday at 12pm PST.
- If you have a website (or two) please specify which one you would like me to link in the body of your email. Also, let us know where you're from! Send it all to freefridayz (at) fecalface.com.

Last week we did our first themed Photo of the Day asking you to email in your quintessential San Francisco photos. We got so many great entries and couldn't squeeze them all in. So, here's a bit of overflow from the images emailed in.

Hola from Tequisquiapan Mexico

Hey there, I just got back from a short residency down in a small town two hours north of Mexico City called Tequisquiapan. I was asked to come down there to meet some of the crew of the Clipperton Project, which basically is going to be a crazy boat trip in March with scientists and artists going out to a very remote atoll in the Pacific called Clipperton Island. Anyways, I thought you might like to see some photos of the town and the graffiti that I was surprised to find there.

FFDG's Permanent Home

We can finally shut up about FFDG's fire, about FFDG's temp space, about all the transitions, because we signed a 2 year lease on a new space in the heart of the Mission District last night!

Real Etheral by Evan Mann

Real Ethereal embraces our mysterious relationship with life. It blends the physical with the metaphysical on a journey through an ever-transitioning space where common interactions become extraordinary and perception ventures into the otherworldly. Real Ethereal examines possibilities of unseen realities and metaphorically represents the winding path that reveals before us and conceals behind us; the future remains a mystery while the past fades quickly into the recesses of our mind. We are left with the present: the mysterious reality of our existence; the hair of time difficult to grasp.

We then meander thru his journey from Lawrence KS, moving to Brooklyn and his eventual home in LA! We roll thru zines, Spin Magazine, networking, The Get Up Kids, street art, the Taproom, insecurity & touch on the different things he’s learned about art life along the way. This episode has been a long time coming. A tour de force straight from Oooooolathe! Enjoy! ~Listen

Tuesday, 14 February 2012, 3:00pm

Jaroslav Flegr is no kook. And yet, for years, he suspected his mind had been taken over by parasites that had invaded his brain. So the prolific biologist took his science-fiction hunch into the lab. What he’s now discovering will startle you. Could tiny organisms carried by house cats be creeping into our brains, causing everything from car wrecks to schizophrenia? ~read on

Nature is not evil, it's ugly. That's why we have gardens. It's like ok, but we can do it a little bit better by arranging everything. We are obsessed by Tetris, order and man-made systems.

Before nature was scary, then romantic. But now we feel sorry for it. But does it matter? It create shapes and we create shapes or are we it? Surely, we don't want to. I create shapes and so should you. -Axel Brechensbauer (Barcelona)
