We are proud to announce Mark Mulroney’s second show at Ever Gold Gallery, “I’m Trying Really Hard.” It will be a show of reasonably tasteful works that address contemporary issues such as malnourishment and decorative pumpkin carving.

Mulroney is represented by Mixed Greens Gallery in NYC and Ebersmoore Gallery in Chicago. He has also shown in Copenhagen at V1 Gallery, National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, The San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, and Park Life in San Francisco.

These artists have successfully built upon the bedrock foundations laid down by the great west coast comix, poster and album artists of the 60s and 70s and forged their own unique paths through mastery of technique, inexhaustible high octane imaginations and a striking capacity for the tangible and emotional expression of abstracts.

Opening night party will feature a live acoustic set from Howlin Rain. They'll play around 10pm.

Tim Kerr is part of musical history having played in the Texas punk band The Big Boys in the 80s. The Big Boys were a pioneering band who are credited with helping introduce the new style of hardcore punk that became popular in the 1980s.

This group show is curated by Tim Kerr featuring the works of, TIM KERR (Austin TX), RICH JACOBS (Oakland CA), MERRILEE CHALLIS (Birmingham AL), CLINT WOODSIDE (Philadelphia PA), KAROLINE COLLINS (S.F. CA), and KENNETH HOLLAND (Oakland CA).

Additional items for sale include limited edition books, note cards, T-shirts, wrapping paper, and ornaments. Electric Works is pleased to put some sparkle in the season with Stella Luminosa, a group show featuring Dave Eggers, Matt Furie, Ian Huebert, Jason Jägel, Keegan McHargue, Clare Rojas, and Gina Tuzzi

For the month of December the gallery will be populated by characters and landscapes that are both strangely familiar and familiarly strange. The works are distinguished by graphic mark making that evoke at once a childlike enhancement along with adult intrigue and sophistication. Gallery artist Jason Jägel will be taking over the Project Space filling it with an exuberant installation of recent paintings.
